Aunt Megan and Uncle Collin Come for a Visit

This past week, we had Matthew's sister Megan and her husband Collin come to visit. They spent most of Monday and Tuesday adventuring around Oregon but Wednesday they spent a lot of time with us or taking the kids shopping.

We haven't spent a lot of time with them since we moved from Pennsylvania so we were so excited to have them here. They were so kind and engaged with the kids, we had lovely conversations, and they were helpful and complimentary.

Collin even made us all crepes one night as a special treat. We've tried introducing them to the kids before but they never took to them. But somehow with Uncle Collin making them they were a hit.

It was especially nice to see them with our children. Dude is an amazing boy but when it come to visitors he is almost never the favorite child, but with Collin he was. Collin patiently listened to all of Dude's stories about ghouls, monsters, etc and good naturedly teased Dude about all the things he is geeky about. They were a really cute, funny pair.

And because we were so thankful to have them come, even though it was crazy hot, we lit a fire so we could roast marshmallows. Thank you Megan and Collin for being such a fun addition to our summer adventure!
